FAQs

We are often asked many of the same questions regarding our cakes and services, so to help, we have answered the most frequently asked ones here. We hope this answers any questions you may have; however if you have any unanswered question, please just get in touch and we will be happy to help.

Q. How much do your cakes cost?

A: Our bespoke wedding cakes start from £600. For brides on a tight budget, have a look at our Simply Gorgeous range.

Q. Can you make me a nut-free cake?

Whilst we can exclude the direct addition of nuts to our cakes, our products are not suitable for severe nut allergy sufferers as we do use nuts on-site.
Therefore we are unable to guarantee that there will be no traces of nuts however slim.

Payment Terms

To confirm an order, a non-refundable deposit of £150 is required. The balance on the cake is due one month before delivery and monies can be paid by cheque, bank transfer or paypal.

Delivery / Collection

If you require delivery please advise and this can be arranged and costs advised upon booking.  All our cakes can be collected from our studio. If the cake is collected, the full responsibility for the safety of the cake lies with the client and The Pretty Gorgeous Cake Company will not be responsible for any damage that may occur after the cake last left our studio. Also note that during severe or inclement weather conditions such as snow or floods, we may be unable to deliver your cake as these conditions may be hazardous or make your venue inaccessible. We strongly recommend that you purchase event insurance to cover yourselves for this possibility.

Q. Can you design a cake just for me?

A: We offer a bespoke cake service and can either design a cake specifically to suit your theme or we can copy a design you’ve fallen in love with.

Cancellation Policy

If your order is cancelled for any reason up to 1 month before the date of the event, the deposit £150 is non-refundable. If it is cancelled within 1 month of the event, you will receive a refund of 30% of the total charge.

Cakes decorated with flowers

If your cake requires fresh flowers, your florist will supply the flowers to ensure it matches the rest of your decor. We will liaise with your florist to ensure a perfect finish. Please note that some treatments used on flowers and some flowers are toxic and it remains your florist responsibility to ensure these are not used on your cake. Ask your florist for details regarding toxicity. We cannot be liable for any contamination to our food product that may arise from their misuse.
